Endurance: She's Got It, Do You?

Endurance: n. the ability or strength to continue or last, especially despite fatigue, stress, or other adverse conditions; stamina

Rebecca Kleefish, the Lieutenant Governor of Wisconsin and the first one ever to win twice in her first term, abounds with endurance.

She recently spoke at the Faith and Freedom Conference in Washington, D.C. on Saturday, June 16th. She talked a lot about endurance, something she and Governor Walker have proven over the last couple of years.

Mrs. Kleefisch is a cancer survivor - diagnosed before her primary victory in 2010 and was out of the hospital on election days with just enough time for her to vote for herself.

I met Rebecca Kleefisch in the lobby of the Renaissance hotel. She was checking into the hotel by herself and I walked up to her smiling,
"Hello Rebecca." I said.
She returned a hello with a beaming smile.
I asked for a picture, but she insisted that she change so she could match me.
She told me how thankful she was for all the volunteers, and thanked me several times. I was impressed that she spent time with me when she had to run.
I found out we both grew up in Ohio and she went to high school 20 minutes from where I live.
Later, at the awards banquet, I got my picture with her, where she noted how well we really did match. She took time to get pictures and talk to so many people. She is the real deal.

We need more leaders like Rebecca, willing to stand for what is right and have the endurance to fight through it. I leave you with the source that Rebecca Kleefisch cited:

"And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation." - Romans 5:4

  1. What a wonderful inspiration for us to know there are still some out there who have a firm foundation - and you DO match!
